The current COVID-19 lockdown has effected the film fraternity drastically, due to which many big banner Bollywood movies are shelved. The speculation in social media gives many a hint that there a high possibility of many Bollywood movies to be coming straight to OTT platforms rather than the theatres.
Movies like Ghoomketu, Shakuntala Devi, and Gulabo Sitabo will be all featuring in the digital platforms.These are movies that are already completed; however, there are many incomplete and halted movies because of the significant pandemic throughout the world.
Prior- to the pandemic, many Bollywood movies were halted for years after year, and ultimately for some unforeseen reasons, the movie never happened.
The shelving of Apna Paraya- would have been the best thing in the starting days of Amitabh Bachchan’s career. The shooting was halfway through, but later the director decided to shelved the shooting and replaced Amitabh Bachchan because of his flop image.
The maker decided to rename the movie as Duniya ka Mela starring the new lead Sanjay Khan alongside Rekha, which proved to be a big flop at the box office. The year 1974 gave a significant breakthrough in the career of Amitabh Bachchan as his movie Zanjeer proved to be a big hit, whereas Duniya Ka Mela, which was released in the same year, proved to be a big-time disappointment at the box office.
The audience loved the two; therefore, another movie called Ran Kshetra was on its way after Maine Pyar Kiya, but it never happened as Bhagyashree walked out of the project due to her marriage and the movie was shelved.

A Bollywood Movie which could have been a major hit at the box office.
One such movie could have been Raashq which had box-office money-making actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla as leads. The movie was heard of many times but never went live and remained unreleased. The source for the information is Lehren youtube channel.
The late ’90s was the era of Divya Bharti- where all of her movies were a massive success at the box office. One such film was Parinaam, which was supposed to go on the floor, starting Akshay Kumar and Divya Bharti as the lead.
